The final concert of the participants of Professor Đorđe Stanetti’s piano masterclass was held at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Čapljina, marking the conclusion of the summer programme of the 10th anniversary edition of the ARDEA International Classical Music Masterclass 2026.
Following several days of intensive work, individual lessons and preparation, the young pianists had the opportunity to present part of the repertoire they had developed with their mentor. The concert featured a diverse selection of piano literature, highlighting different interpretative approaches, musical personalities and stages of artistic development.
The evening opened with Professor Đorđe Stanetti, who performed Haydn’s Variations in F minor, Hob. XVII/6, before the participants of his class took the stage.
Concert programme:
The programme presented the young pianists with a wide range of technical and interpretative challenges, while the final concert gave them an opportunity to bring the knowledge and experience gained during the masterclass onto the concert stage. This combination of direct work with distinguished artists and professors and valuable public performance experience remains an important part of the ARDEA Masterclass concept.
Professor Đorđe Stanetti, a distinguished Croatian pianist and professor at the Academy of Music of the University of Zagreb, shared his extensive concert and teaching experience with a new generation of young musicians throughout the masterclass.
The concert concluded the ARDEA 2026 summer programme in a year that marks the tenth anniversary of the International Classical Music Masterclass. Throughout the summer programme, Čapljina once again became a meeting place for young musicians, professors and audiences through masterclasses, concerts and a variety of musical events.
Over the past ten years, ARDEA has created countless encounters, new friendships and artistic experiences, welcoming generations of young musicians to Čapljina and giving them the opportunity to learn from distinguished professors and share their work with audiences. The anniversary edition continued that same vision – creating a space for learning, artistic development, exchange of experience and a shared passion for classical music.
